Swiss Balz Müller wins the WING Foil Contest, Dutch duo Kieran Badloe (men) and Lilian De Geus (Women) claim victory in iQ Foil Exhibition race

The contest kicked off on the 15./16. August with a world premiere in St. Moritz. The 12 best men and 6 women in the world are invited to the iQ Foil Exhibition on Lake St. Moritz. Reigning world champion of the Olympic class Kiran Badloe from the Netherlands took home the first gold medal of the Engadinwind 2020, silver won by Maciek Rutkowsky (POL) and Bronze goes to Nico Goyard (FRA), reigning Foil World champion. Lilian de Geus (NED), world champion of the Olympic windsurfing class won the women exhibition race. Second finished Blanca Alabau from Spain, ahead of her sister Marina Alabau, Olympic gold medal winner.

Another world premiere was the WING Foil exhibition event by the newly founded GWA Global Wingsports Association. The contest was held in the disciplines racing and freestyle, on Sunday August 16 on Lake St. Moritz and on Monday, August 17 on Lake Silvaplana. The Swiss foil pioneer Balz Müller from Biel, who won the foil style world championship in Silvaplana last year, secured himself the gold medal. Silver won his fellow countryman Michael Näf and third finished the German Henning Nockel.
