Rachael Archer is ready for GNCC WXC Final Rounds after deserved re-fresh back home in New Zealand, currently standing 4th Overall with 4 Rounds to go.
If anyone doubted the driven 17 year old would shy away from the challenges faced racing America’s Grand National Cross-Country Women’s Series, think again. Rachael has proved in debut season, #650 has the ability to race up-front finishing 8, 5, 4, 4, 3, 3, 3, 2, 3 from 9 out of 13 Rounds.
Pretty impressive. And, if you know anything about Rachael, there is more to come. As the tough, unique individual knows what she wants, and knows how to make it happen.
So, not surprising over 5 week break back home on the family’s Ngaroma farm, Rachael fenced, went hunting and shot 2 deer, covered few km’s on the remarkable property bordering native bush, helped out at home and made the occasional butter chicken for family dinner.
We caught up with Rachael, Dad- Kevin and Mum- Lynn on a stunning clear-blue sky day in NZ’s mid winter. We spent many hours chatting on what Rachael had experienced racing GNCC WXC class, filmed interview, went and filmed great shots of Rachael riding on farm- all so enjoyable. Lunch was put on, and it was yummy.
