Heavy rain led to a break in the second final run Saturday of the GlemmRide Bike Festival in the Salzburger Land was all about slopestyle. After an exciting qualifying the twelve best bikers showed their tricks at the highest level in the finals. Only a few minutes too early the rain clouds rolled over the Glemmtal, so that the first run of the final had to be counted. However, Dawid Godziek (POL) convinced the judges in the first run and finished in 1st place, followed by Emil Johansson (SWE). The German Erik Fedko earned 3rd place. Rain on Saturday evening just before the last three riders led to the second final run being cancelled. Erik Fedko, Emil Johansson and Dawid Godziek therefore had to give up their second run, but could already convince the judges in their first run. With an unbelievable Twister No Hand, Cash Roll over the Boner Log, Double Tailwhip at the Step Up, Truckdriver at the Step Down and a Double Backflip X-Up at the Rivergap the polish rider Dawid Godziek deserved to be in 1st place. Best Austrian and Hero of the weekend is Peter Kaiser, who fought his way through from pre-qualifying to 9th place in the finals.
