On August 16-17, Travis Pastrana and his unbridled version of rallycross racing returned to the Utah Motorsports Complex for the Nitro World Games. Back for the second year, the Nitro Rallycross track design once again came directly out of the creative mind of Pastrana himself, with input from some of the world’s top rallycross drivers. In addition to a more “raceable,” layout, allowing for ample passing opportunities, the track features banked corners, multiple line choices and the pièce de résistance, a massive 100+ foot gap jump. Check out how practice and qualifying unfolded as the cars took to the new track for the first time.
