The Spanish skater is aiming to go one better at Red Bull Roller Coaster in 2019.

Danny Leon will travel to Munich on June 29 in a bid to be crowned the most versatile skater in the world.

The Spaniard, who began skating when they built a course outside his house that he initially thought was a swimming pool, finished second last year and is returning to the Munich Mash event to try and be victorious on the course that is made out of 60 tons of wood.

Here is what he had to say ahead of the trip to Germany:

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Danny Leon and I was born in Mostoles, Madrid, 25 years ago. I ride skate street but I love bowls and transitions as well.

How did you get into skating, and where does your inspiration come from?
When I was nine, they built up a skatepark in front of my home, I took a skateboard and tried it and here we are now! Who really inspired me when I was a child was Danny Way, he flew over the Great Wall of China! Nowadays my biggest motivation is share sessions with my friends.

How much are you looking forward to fight again for the Red Bull Roller Coaster title after finishing second last year?
I really enjoyed the contest last year, I’m super stoked to be back there. All of us are going to win, and it’s a huge motivation, but what I’m really looking forward to skate there with friends

What appeals to you about the event, what makes it special?
Ride Street and ramp in the same lane makes it really special, you need to be an “all-terrain” skater riding bowl and street to win this contest. Furthermore the audience is so good and extremely encouraging for us.
