Record attendance
In less than three weeks, on the 5th of October, the 20th edition of the Tour de Corse Historique 20th of the name will live at the time of its kick-off of Porto-Vecchio. Twenty years under the sign of passion for this event which, over the years, has embarked on the path of professionalization, in its operation by using recognised competences in specific fields. A bet on the way to being successful, a guarantee of sustainability for the future, but in the immediate future, it is this 20th edition that rises in power for the week of October 5 to 10 is a real success story. It’s true that you’re not every day 20 years old. A year 2020 to be marked with a white stone that is especially as 240 crews are on the list of registered is the absolute record in terms of participation. What sharpen the appetites in the different categories.

A high-level set
A high-level set in VHC, VHRS, with former winners, like François Foulon (Escort MK2) the title holder in VHC, who returns to taste, once again, the intoxication of victory. Among the big names appears that of François Delecour (Porsche). On the J2 side, the fight will be just as close, with Christophe Vaison, on an M3 already awarded on the TDCH.  A list that also includes the names of Marc Vallicioni (M3), Olivier Capanaccia (M3) best islander at the 2019 Tour de Corse WRC. He embodies perfectly this new rising island guard of the historic rally with Jean-Baptiste Botti, multiple World Champion Sea Scooter, winner of the regional rally of Porto-Vecchio, who will drive a Porsche, Robert Consani (Porsche) vice-champion of France GT in 2017, and fourth in the 2015 European championship, Igor Giusti (Ford Cosworth) the Normalien, without forgetting Frédéric Andreucci (Mitsubishi Gallant). Of course, we will have the opportunity to discuss in more detail this list of participants in the various categories.
But already it is obvious that the 20 stages of this Tour of Corsica 2020 will not lack of spice. On the organization side, we are also going up in the towers with, for this 20th edition, an additional pressure to manage, namely the implementation of health guidelines related to the Covid 19 outbreak. For several weeks now, we have been refining the system in this area, so that everything is operational when it comes to getting to the heart of the matter. Appointment on October 5 in Porto-Vecchio for five days in the footsteps of the legend before the curtain falls on October 10 in the City of Salt.
