The Silk Road routes are unique. Each stage is an opportunity to try yourself in new conditions. There are three types of sand tracks. The most spectacular are the sands of the Gobi Desert. The most insidious ones are dunes, ridges of sandy mountains. And for warming up, crews can try the white sand of the Russian steppes. It is pleasant, like the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, and the roads have been build along it, unlike desert dunes. But this easiness is deceptive, and for some, the routes near Volgograd and Astrakhan at first were hard nut to crack.
