@ Absa Cape Epic 2019

The Absa Cape Epic 2019 starts on March 17th and this year you can follow live from day 1 – free of charge and cleared of rights! The toughest mountain bike stage race in the world starts in Cape Town, before it takes you 624 kilometers through breathtaking landscapes in the western Cape of South Africa for eight days. After the prologue in Cape Town, the race starts in Hermanus, takes the riders into Oak Valley, to Stellenbosch and ends after 16,650 meters of climbing on Sunday, 24th of March in Val de Vie. Cape Epic 2019 is available on YouTube and Facebook in a daily livestream.

As every year, the best riders in the world compete at Cape Epic in 2019: Last year’s winners Jaroslav Kulhavy (CZE) and Howard Grotts (USA) build a team again in the men’s event and of course try to repeat their success. But the duo with five-time overall winner Karl Platt (GER) and Alban Lakata (AUT) also have ambitions for victory. Last year Annika Langvad (DEN) won the women’s race with her partner Kate Courtney (USA). This year the Dane does not start with the American, but with the Dutch Anna van der Breggen.
