Currently standing 2nd Overall on 159 points, to Red Plate holder Steffi Laier on 180 points, Shana takes heart that she notched Round 2 Overall going 1-1, along with Race 1 win at Opening Round at Gazzane di Preseglie, Italy. The petite racer has already proved she is real contender for EMX Women Championship Title.

With Final Round shifting to the sand circuit of Arnhem, Netherlands, with big plus being close to home, Shana has plenty to look forward to- on and off track racing.

#188: ‘The main focus during the break was putting in practices on the sand tracks and prepare myself for the final round in Arnhem’.

It’s really nice to race the Final Round close to home. I really like the track and there are many supporters, sponsors and family that come to the race to support me’.

Definitely racing against Women MX peers in EMX Women brings many benefits, not least gaining knowledge competing against WMX 4x Champion Steffi Laier on varying track surfaces. From hard-pack to sand, Shana banks all race experiences as part of the process to develop her MX career.

#188: ‘I really enjoyed the tracks in Italy and France with nice layout of tracks. I learnt alot during all the EMX races. All the tracks were really hard pack tracks and I know I can still improve a lot on that kind of surface’.

Setting short-to-long term goals early in 2019 WMX season, Shana takes pride in ticking off a few. Like, posting consistent results on both WMX Series and EMX Women Championship Series: standing 6th in World’s and 2nd in EMX Women.

And, Shana stays on point, in focus and grounded in her approach- taking all gains on track as positive movement forward.

#188: ‘For sure I made goals before the season started and to reach them, there are a lot of different factors. At this moment I am reasonably on schedule’.

‘The EMX race in France I enjoyed the most so far, two moto wins and a good feeling on my bike. It is defenitely one of the good memories from this year, so far’.
