Snowboard Halfpipe and Slopestyle – Webclips | World Rookie Finals 2019: These are the stars of tomorrow!

From 25th to 30th March the annual final of the World Rookie Tour took place in Kaprun. There, the snowboard young talents from all over the world fought again for the title as “World Rookie Champion”. As always, the podium finishes were heavily fought over, but in the end, Annika Morgan (GER); Ruki Tomita (JPN); Mitchell Daven (NZL) and Joonsik Lee (JPN) catapulted into first place with their numerous spectacular jumps, securing the coveted title.

The young talents impressed again this year with impressive jumps, such as Mitchell Doven (NZL), who mastered even difficult jumps like the cab double cork 1080 indy, the switchbackside 1260 mute and the backside 360 ​​tuckknee with his extremely strong technique and thus secured the first podium finish in the category “Slopestyle Rookie Boys”. Ruki Tomita (JPN) dominated in the category “Halfpipe Rookie Girls” despite her first participation, convincing with her very demanding tricks like the frontside air indy, the backside 540 mute and the frontside 720 indy. Thus she she secured the first place.
