Reigning champion fourth-ever rider to do so in rain-affected Czech GP.

It was another sumptuous Sunday ride for championship leader Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) as he took victory in a start-delayed Czech Grand Prix. Here is all you need to know:

– In doing so, he becomes the fourth-ever rider to reach 50 premier class victories.

– He is the first Spaniard to achieve this, with Valentino Rossi (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) currently with the most premier class wins on 89.

– Márquez’ next target is fellow five-time premier class Champion, Michael Doohan, who won 54 Grand Prix in his time – all of which were with Honda.

– In terms of overall wins, the reigning World Champion took the 76th of his career, equalling the late Mike Hailwood. Márquez will soon want to be challenging his fellow countryman, Angel Nieto, who has 90 overall, whilst Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini lie ahead after that.

– In Brno, Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) took second place to lead home fellow Ducati man Jack Miller (Pramac Racing), the Australian beating Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Alex Rins in the latter stages to earn his second rostrum of the year.
