Double Podium for MRS ShercoRound 2 – British Championship Trials Last Sunday, 19th May, saw the second round of the Keedwell British Trials Championship take place at Neath, South Wales. The MRS Sherco riders had a really positive day with five times World and British Champion, Emma Bristow, finishing second in the main Expert Championship. Emma was just one mark behind the winner! Emma has proved that her move to the main British Championship has paid real dividends as her riding standard has improved tremendously and it cannot be long before she is standing on the top step of the podium. Emma Bristow – “It felt like it was a long time coming, but finally bagged my first ever podium at the British Championship at the weekend. Just one point off the top spot! I couldn’t be more motivated for the next rounds two weeks time and Japan World Championship the week after.” In the trial 2 class James Fry had a consistent ride finishing 5th overall and Luke Walker finished 9th. In the main British Championship MRS Sherco rider Dan Peace once again had a brilliant ride finishing 3rd overall and is now lying 3rd overall in the championship standings. Dan – “I’m pleased to have got a podium this weekend but I did make a few mistakes which prevented me being higher up on the podium. It was a good trial and I just need to continue being consistent for the remainder of the series. Thanks to MRS and all my sponsors for their support.” It was a tougher day for MRS Sherco rider Jack Peace who is finding the short time limit difficult and he lost two fives to get in on time after the first lap and eight marks on time at the finish. This put him well down the order and not in a position he was expecting. Now riding a 250 in preparation for the world championship we are sure Jack will acclimatise himself to his new bike and will put the effort in to improve for the next round.
