Laia Sanz has won 2019 FIM Women’s Cross-Country Rallies World Championship taking the win at Rally of Morocco Women’s class and finishing Overall in 18th place racing under Red Bull KTM Factory Team.

In final preparations for racing Dakar in January 2020, Laia made most of race-time covering total of 2,500 kms over 5 stages which tested the Spanish Women standing of 11th Overall in Dakar 2019.

Laia: ‘”The race has been an excellent training, and this is what it was about. You always want to finish as high as possible, but looking for the result was not the main objective. It is perfect to have done kilometers of competition and to have tried the motorcycle”‘.

Testing suspension settings after each Stage, Laia and KTM Factory Racing Team perfected performance of Laia’s KTM 450 Rally bike, increasing physical capability of rider along with highlighting where improvements can be made pre-training for Dakar early in New Year.

Laia: These race days have helped me to see what I have to improve on aspects from now to the Dakar and what I have to work on physically. I am returning home very lively, with a lot of learning and positive conclusions”‘.
