Joe Collier – Oulton Park – Round 3

Joe Collier – Ducati Tri Options
Oulton Park

Joe Collier totally dominated the Ducati Performance Tri Options Cup at Oulton Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend. Not only did he top the time sheets in the practice and qualifying sessions but he also secured another double race win and regained the Championship lead.
Joe came to Oulton Park, one of his favourite circuits feeling quite confident after Brands despite the DNF. They were able to get a good time right from the start and with very few alterations to the BPS Racing Ducati Joe was fastest in free practice one, then he went on to set pole for race one. He was in the lead when the race was red-flagged, he got another good start and was able to win the 5 lap race by 1.1 seconds.
He was on pole again for the second race on Monday, he was second after lap one but managed to make a pass on Rob Guiver for the lead on lap two and from there he rode his own race. He managed to build a huge gap to second place and won the race by a massive 10.9 seconds from his nearest rival.
Joe Collier – “We were so lucky at Oulton Park and we didn’t change the Ducati all weekend, I had a few issues with the front brakes in FP1 and qualifying but we got it all sorted for the race.
It was a really good weekend and the bike is getting better each race weekend and the team are fantastic. We have a long break now until the next round of the series, I’ll be doing plenty of training and trying to get out to do a bit of MX riding.
I’d love to be able to race in other Championships also with the ones that don’t clash with the Ducati Championship or it could be possible to do both.”
