Chmelecki gathers female sports leaders for Sebastian stunt.

American Amy Chmelecki has long been considered one of the world’s best skydivers and, back in 2018, she brought together a host of trailblazing women to break a world record in Florida.

Here is all you need to know:

– The Fly Girls project was the brainchild of Chmelecki, who used the summit to discuss such subjects as equal pay, boundaries and opportunities within sport, as well as female participation in sports such as skydiving.

– She was joined by the likes of footballer Ashlyn Harris, former freestyle skier Grete Eliasson and wakeboarder Meagan Ethell for the panel, which culminated in a skydiving record attempt above the city of Sebastian.

– Two-dozen skydivers broke a world record for the most female vertical skydivers in one go on the first jump, even though Chmelecki estimated it would take six, to cap off an inspirational two days in Florida.
