“I’ve got an 18-point lead heading into the final round and my plan will be to go 1-1 again. I’ve turned the season around in the second half which is awesome.”
Dylan Walsh won in convincing style at Maxxis British MX Championship Round 7 of 8 at Foxhill Moto Park circuit at the weekend. With slender 12 point buffer holding Red Plate heading into the historical – former GP track, Walsh showed what his determination is made of, not only winning both motos but extending points lead to 18 gap margin.
#53: ‘Yeah Sunday was a mega day! Moto 1 started 2nd then got into the lead by lap 1. And then moto 2- holeshot and led the whole moto so it was unreal day’.
Having carved legacy in British Motocross history books, Foxhill circuit really suited the Kiwi rider, with the steep hills, chalky soil, and fast flowing layout, reminding Dylan of tracks at home.
#53: ‘I was actually a huge fan of the track! I really enjoyed it and it reminded of home so much’.
With Final Maxxis British MX Round 8 on September 22nd, Walsh looks forward to race with greater ease, knowing a double victory of 1-1 at Hawkstone Park Round 6 along with 1-1 at Foxhill Round 7 is all his own making- hard work, focus and determination to nail results.
And with tail-end of World MX Championship Rounds to go- this weekend at Imola, then MXGP of Sweden and then Turkey, Dylan will go all out to make racing up-front count.
#53: ‘Yeah 18 point lead is a lot more comfortable heading into the last round. I’m just enjoying my training and racing so much lately’.
