All the latest from a wet and wild Roskilde as the weather takes a turn for the worst.
They say at Roskilde, such is its southern Scandinavian location, it is possible to get sunburnt and survive a rainstorm on the very same day.
For the 2017 edition, the latter is definitely the accurate description.
The heavens opened late on Thursday night, with the rain continuing to fall heavily throughout Friday to turn the vast green fields into vast brown mud baths.
It would take more than a bit of falling water to dampen the spirits of the thousands of ravers though. After all a pair of wellies, a poncho and the mud are all part of festival life.
A right of passage, which you need to pass to earn the respect of hardened festival veterans.
For the music lovers in Denmark who dared to venture out of their soggy and windswept tents, stories will have been created which will be told for years to come.
The music still blasted from the stages, beer continued to flow, and life at Northern Europe’s largest festival carried on without a care in the world.
